Truveta is the world’s first health provider-led data platform, dedicated to the mission of saving lives through data. We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our mission-driven team as we build large-scale data processing platforms that empower researchers and clinicians to find cures and improve patient care. While we were founded in the Pacific Northwest, our team operates on a hybrid model with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the country.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain large-scale distributed systems and complex ETL data pipelines.
Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, testing, deployment, and performance tuning.
Partner with clinical informaticists, product managers, and architects to solve technical challenges in the healthcare space.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to guide team workstreams.
Apply creative problem-solving to ensure our systems can process healthcare data at an unprecedented scale.

Must-haves

At least 10 years of professional experience developing production-grade services on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
A minimum of 5 years of experience working with distributed systems or large-scale data architecture.
Proficiency in data-focused programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Strong communication skills in English and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, distributed team environment.

Nice-to-haves

Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies, including Spark, Kubernetes, and cloud-native data warehousing solutions.

Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $192,000 to $240,000, depending on your skills, experience, and location.
