The opportunity

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to serve as a key technical leader across our entire engineering organization. This is a highly hands-on role for an experienced engineer who loves building production systems while simultaneously shaping our architectural standards and developer productivity. You will sit at the intersection of engineering, product, and operations, helping us define our technical direction and driving the adoption of AI throughout our software development lifecycle to create lasting, company-wide impact.

A day in the life

• Architecting robust, scalable systems that evolve alongside our business while ensuring high operational excellence.
• Championing AI-assisted development by establishing best practices for LLMs, agentic workflows, and automated testing.
• Mentoring our engineering team and guiding complex technical decisions that balance immediate business needs with long-term strategy.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer with over a decade of experience building and operating complex, production-scale systems. You communicate fluently in English and bring a deep technical background to our team.

• You possess expert-level experience with Ruby on Rails and have a strong grasp of distributed systems, API design, and data modeling.
• You are comfortable working across major cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• You have hands-on experience with modern AI development, including LLMs and AI-assisted coding tools, and you know how to leverage these technologies to improve developer velocity.
• You are a natural mentor who leads through technical influence and clear communication, helping teams translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable, reliable software.
