Role at a glance
We are looking for a Principal Scientist, Regulatory Bioinformatics to join us in a lead, full-time capacity. This is a hybrid player-coach position where you will balance hands-on technical work with the mentorship of our growing team. While our headquarters are in Boulder, Colorado, this role is fully remote for candidates based in the United States.
Your impact
- Lead the design and execution of complex genomic studies, including statistical modeling and the development of computational pipelines.
- Develop and validate software and algorithms for medical device applications, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide strategic leadership and technical mentorship to our bioinformatics team to foster a culture of excellence and professional growth.
What you'll need
- An MS or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field, backed by at least 7 years of professional experience.
- Proven expertise in developing algorithms for medical devices and navigating regulatory submissions with bodies like the FDA.
- Strong proficiency in Python, workflow management tools like Nextflow, and containerization using Docker.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate complex technical requirements across clinical and product teams.
- Fluency in English and a deep commitment to high-quality, validated scientific output.
Perks and compensation
