Figment is a global leader in blockchain infrastructure, providing comprehensive staking solutions to over 200 institutional clients including major exchanges, custodians, and foundations. We are looking for a Principal Ruby Solidity Engineer to join our remote team and help us drive the adoption and success of the Web3 ecosystem by building robust staking and unstaking APIs.
Responsibilities
- Take full technical ownership of products and processes, guiding them from initial design through implementation and testing.
- Contribute as a high-level individual contributor while setting technical standards and best practices for the team.
- Collaborate with product managers to define requirements and communicate effective design solutions.
- Partner with our security team to ensure our software solutions are secure and resilient.
- Mentor other engineers and refine our internal software development workflows.
- Design and implement complex systems, ensuring they remain maintainable and scalable.
Must-haves
- Extensive experience as a principal engineer on teams larger than three developers.
- Deep expertise in Ruby on Rails with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- At least one year of hands-on experience with Solidity, smart contract development, and DeFi protocols.
- Strong grasp of systems design, multi-service architecture, and data storage solutions like SQL and Redis.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to own features from conception to deployment.
- Fluency in English and a results-oriented mindset.
