Figment is a global leader in blockchain infrastructure, providing comprehensive staking solutions to over 200 institutional clients including major exchanges, custodians, and foundations. We are looking for a Principal Ruby Solidity Engineer to join our remote team and help us drive the adoption and success of the Web3 ecosystem by building robust staking and unstaking APIs.

Responsibilities

Take full technical ownership of products and processes, guiding them from initial design through implementation and testing.
Contribute as a high-level individual contributor while setting technical standards and best practices for the team.
Collaborate with product managers to define requirements and communicate effective design solutions.
Partner with our security team to ensure our software solutions are secure and resilient.
Mentor other engineers and refine our internal software development workflows.
Design and implement complex systems, ensuring they remain maintainable and scalable.

Must-haves

Extensive experience as a principal engineer on teams larger than three developers.
Deep expertise in Ruby on Rails with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
At least one year of hands-on experience with Solidity, smart contract development, and DeFi protocols.
Strong grasp of systems design, multi-service architecture, and data storage solutions like SQL and Redis.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to own features from conception to deployment.
Fluency in English and a results-oriented mindset.

Benefits

The base salary for this role is $200,000 - $220,000 (USD or CAD depending on location).
