Our technology allows users to query billions of records through a conversational interface, uncover hidden trends, and perform complex analysis without the need for traditional, manual business intelligence tools. We are currently looking for a Principal Quality Engineer to join our team in India on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of our platform by championing automation, performance testing, and robust deployment practices.
Key outcomes
- Design and manage comprehensive test automation frameworks, primarily utilizing Cypress.
- Create and execute performance and load testing strategies using JMeter or similar industry-standard tools.
- Partner with our engineering teams to implement shift-left testing, ensuring that quality is built into the development process from the start.
- Establish and promote best practices for software quality assurance to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members to cultivate a culture focused on quality and technical excellence.
- Analyze testing outcomes and provide actionable feedback to developers to resolve complex issues.
- Innovate our bug recreation and testing processes by integrating advanced technologies, including AI-powered automation and predictive analytics.
- Research and adopt emerging testing methodologies to keep our platform at the cutting edge of performance and reliability.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience in quality engineering, specifically within test automation, performance testing, and CI/CD workflows.
- Technical proficiency in automation tools like Cypress and scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Demonstrated expertise in performance testing tools, including JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Practical experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Travis CI.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a history of guiding teams and driving quality initiatives.
- A creative approach to problem-solving, particularly regarding bug reproduction and test optimization.
- Familiarity with the latest AI-driven testing technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins or Travis.
