About the Role
We are hiring a Principal Powder Processing Equipment Engineer for a full-time, on-site position. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of critical powder handling and mixing systems. You will work within a fast-paced start-up environment, collaborating closely with our R&D teams, strategic partners, and suppliers to drive technological progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of powder processing systems, including bulk handling, conveying, mixing, and metering equipment.
- Manage capital projects from the initial concept phase through to commissioning, ensuring that all work remains on schedule and within budget.
- Provide technical mentorship to our engineering and technician teams while establishing best practices for equipment operation and safety.
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline.
- Over 10 years of experience in the design and implementation of powder processing equipment, such as mechanical and pneumatic conveyance, high shear mixers, and weigh batching systems.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software, project management methodologies, and documentation practices.
- A solid understanding of Lean principles and operational excellence.
- Familiarity with international safety standards and regulations regarding combustible or toxic powders, such as NFPA and ATEX.
- The ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to 25 percent of your time to support project implementation.
