What is this role?

We are seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to join us in a full-time, remote capacity. This is a lead-level position designed for an experienced engineer who has successfully transitioned into a focus on infrastructure, security, and site reliability. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our technical platform while working within a collaborative, fast-paced startup environment where your contributions directly impact our growth and mission.

What will you do?

• Collaborate with our engineering, security, and IT teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions that prioritize scalability, security, and high availability.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, providing architectural guidance and consulting to various teams to improve their operational efficiency and technical effectiveness.
• Own the execution of our development roadmap by focusing on cost optimization, system reliability, and the adoption of modern automation patterns.

• At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience using cloud providers like GCP.
• Proven expertise in automation and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Strong proficiency in scripting with Python and Bash, alongside experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• A history of leading engineering teams to deliver critical, large-scale applications.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to conduct thorough technological research to inform our long-term strategy.
