This is a hands-on role where you will do more than just write code. We need a commercially-minded engineer who can bridge the gap between technical solutions and business goals, helping us build resilient, scalable products that truly delight our members.
About the Role
This is a contractor position for a senior-level engineer. You will play a pivotal role in our transition to a modern mobile architecture using KMM. Working closely with our product, delivery, and engineering teams, you will define, build, and measure the impact of the solutions you implement. Your work will directly influence how our users engage with the marketplace, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of our next-generation mobile applications while delivering impactful features through a pragmatic, user-centric approach.
- Mentor and coach fellow engineers through pair programming and candid feedback to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous growth.
- Translate complex technical risks and solutions into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment across the business.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a deep mastery of modern mobile technologies and a passion for building high-quality software. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Expertise in developing complex frontend applications for iOS and Android using KMM, SwiftUI, and Jetpack Compose.
- Proven experience in designing scalable app architectures, including familiarity with microservices and API integrations.
- A strong commitment to quality, including experience with test automation for unit, integration, and E2E testing.
- Proficiency in performance monitoring and optimization techniques to ensure a seamless user experience.
- A solid understanding of UI/UX principles and accessibility standards to create responsive, inclusive interfaces.
