What is this role?
We are hiring a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join our Product ML team on a full-time, remote basis. This is an executive-level position where you will shape the long-term direction of machine learning at Lime while continuing to build and ship production systems.
What will you do?
- Design, build, and continuously improve end-to-end machine learning systems that tackle Lime’s hardest operational and product challenges.
- Partner with senior leaders across the company to craft a multi-year ML strategy that incorporates cutting-edge techniques and technologies.
- Strengthen the shared ML platform that supports teams working on mobile apps, custom vehicle hardware, and cloud services, while mentoring engineers and data scientists along the way.
What makes you a great fit?
You bring at least ten years of professional software engineering or machine learning experience and a proven record of delivering successful products. You have applied a wide range of machine learning methods, collaborated closely with product, operations, and other stakeholders to turn business goals into technical solutions, and demonstrated the ability to set a long-term technical vision while delivering incremental results. Strong cross-functional communication skills and a genuine interest in helping teammates grow are essential. Experience with computer vision, deploying models on edge devices, or experimenting with large language models is a plus. All work is conducted in English.
What's in it for you?
The anticipated base salary range for this position is CA$171,000 to CA$235,000. In addition to base pay, the role includes equity compensation and access to professional development opportunities.
