About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming healthcare through the application of artificial intelligence. You will work across various departments, including product, sales, and clinical operations, to build end-to-end experiences that integrate fragmented healthcare services. This is a senior-level position where you will help shape our engineering culture, balancing the need for rapid product development with the management of technical debt.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and implementation of reliable, scalable machine learning infrastructure and software solutions that serve both internal and external customers.
- Act as an AI champion within the organization, providing technical leadership to develop best practices for data engineering and model development.
- Build and maintain robust AI pipeline architectures that feature high observability, strong monitoring capabilities, and a focus on fairness and equity.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a minimum of 3 years specifically focused on machine learning.
- A graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Hands-on expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with a proven ability to write maintainable code for machine learning applications.
- Experience with modern LLM models, transformers, and ML pipeline tools such as AWS Sagemaker or Bedrock.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity and confidence within a remote, collaborative environment.
