Role at a glance
We are looking for a Principal Lead Fintech Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level role that requires you to work on-site at our office near San Francisco's Financial District. You will collaborate closely with our leadership, product, and finance teams to scale our financial infrastructure and ensure our payment workflows are as robust as they are transparent.
Your impact
- Architect and build scalable, high-performance financial systems, including ledgers and autonomous payment workflows that our customers can trust.
- Collaborate across departments to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into efficient, end-to-end technical solutions.
- Mentor other engineers and play an active role in recruiting to help us maintain our high standards for code quality and engineering excellence.
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of experience building impactful products at scale, with a strong background in both front-end and back-end development.
- Deep expertise in fintech, including a solid grasp of financial regulatory requirements and fundamental accounting principles.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, specifically regarding distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms.
- Exceptional communication skills and a high degree of empathy for the users who rely on our platform.
- A commitment to writing thoroughly tested, well-documented code that prioritizes production observability.
- Legal authorization to work within the United States.
