What you bring
As our first Principal Hardware Test Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting our hardware test infrastructure from the ground up. This is a full-time, senior-level position based at our headquarters in San Carlos, California. You will report directly to our VP of Engineering and collaborate with our cross-functional teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing robust, scalable test automation frameworks tailored to our specific hardware and software needs.
- Taking full ownership of test automation systems, ranging from initial prototype design to conducting root-cause analysis in the field.
- Spearheading comprehensive test automation at both the board and system level, including reliability testing and end-of-line verification.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess at least 8 years of hands-on experience building hardware test infrastructure across multiple products. We are looking for an expert in Python and C/C++ who has a deep understanding of embedded systems and hardware-software integration. You should be a resourceful problem-solver with a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders. A passion for working with intricate systems is a major plus, as is the ability to maintain high standards of quality while working with initiative and dedication.
