Principal Full Stack Engineer at Sayari

What is this role?

We are seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a lead-level position for a process-oriented self-starter who is eager to tackle challenges related to anti-money laundering, sanctions evasion, and financial fraud. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States, the United Kingdom, or Canada, as we are unable to provide sponsorship at this time.

What will you do?

• Architect robust, scalable, and thoroughly tested solutions while contributing directly to the growth and performance of our codebase.
• Partner with our Product and Design teams to translate roadmap goals into actionable features, while managing capacity constraints and development priorities.
• Evaluate end-to-end technical designs to assess their strengths and weaknesses regarding scalability, performance, correctness, and complexity.

What makes you a great fit?

You should have 10 or more years of industry experience in software development, with a background that includes both individual contribution and the mentorship or management of other developers. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Strong expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Proven experience in backend web development and the architecture of REST APIs.
• Deep proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically Postgres, Cassandra, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience managing software within cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• A track record of conducting thorough code reviews and unit testing.
