Principal Front End Engineer at Peerspace

What is this role?

We are hiring a Principal Front End Engineer on a full-time basis. The position is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere. We consider this an executive-level role that calls for deep technical expertise and proven leadership in front-end architecture.

What will you do?

• Architect efficient, reusable front-end systems that support our complex web application and maintain high design fidelity across experiences.
• Provide technical leadership to an agile scrum team, guiding feature delivery while collaborating closely with product, design, backend, and mobile engineering partners.
• Drive performance, security, and SEO improvements by planning regular technology upgrades, refining caching and CDN strategies, and championing initiatives that raise key web metrics.

What makes you a great fit?

You bring at least ten years of software development experience and five or more years focused on front-end work with React and micro front-ends. You have hands-on experience optimizing sites for SEO, implementing web caching and CDN strategies, and running A/B or other experimentation programs. You thrive in open, collaborative environments, enjoy mentoring fellow engineers, and take pride in shipping complete projects from start to finish. Startup experience, agile-scrum familiarity, strong user empathy, and an eye for design are all highly valued.

The annual salary range for this role is $200,000 to $220,000, and equity compensation is included.
