The role
We are seeking a Principal Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a lead-level position based in the United Kingdom, operating under a hybrid work model. In this role, you will be a central figure in our engineering organization, working alongside senior leadership to define our technical strategy and ensure we continue to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Core responsibilities
- Take ownership of critical architectural decisions that align with our long-term business goals.
- Partner with the VP of Engineering and Engineering Directors to shape and execute our multi-year technical roadmap.
- Collaborate with Staff Engineers to foster innovation and ensure technical alignment across all our teams.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in developing complex SaaS products and scaling systems within high-growth environments. We value candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Deep expertise in designing and evolving reliable, performant systems.
- Proficiency with modern engineering practices, including Python, React, CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.
- A solid understanding of security compliance and machine learning applications.
- Experience in managing technical debt and executing migration strategies for legacy systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor engineers and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
