Principal Engineer Fullstack at AKQA

What you'll be doing

• You will take a hands-on approach to designing and developing large-scale projects while providing mentorship and line management to senior and junior engineers.
• You will act as a proactive leader who ideates, architects, and implements technical solutions, ensuring you gain buy-in from your team and stakeholders.
• You will analyze client business objectives to build the right technical strategies, minimizing risk and optimizing delivery processes within our agile environment.

What you'll bring

You are a self-starting technologist with at least 8 years of industry experience and a degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical knowledge. You are comfortable expressing your technical opinions and advocating for high-quality, secure development practices. Your technical toolkit should include:

• Deep expertise in Node.js, along with proficiency in Java or .NET.
• Strong command of modern JavaScript frameworks like React and Next.js.
• Extensive experience with Microservices, serverless architectures, and event-driven systems.
• Proven ability to provision cloud infrastructure using Terraform or similar tools on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• A solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and API design, including REST and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Excellent communication skills in English, allowing you to collaborate effectively across our multi-disciplinary agency.
