The opportunity

We are searching for a highly analytical and motivated Principal Engineer to join our embedded software team. In this executive-level role, you will be the driving force behind the architecture and development of our next-generation wireless IoT products. You will play a critical part in ensuring our firmware is scalable, modular, and reliable, helping us maintain our position at the forefront of technological change. This is an on-site position based in the United States, where you will collaborate with a global team to deliver high-quality, end-to-end ecosystem solutions.

A day in the life

• You will lead the architecture, design, and development of our embedded wireless firmware, ensuring our products remain at the cutting edge of the industry.
• You will take ownership of architectural specifications for new features, oversee the development and testing of code, and conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high standards.
• You will collaborate closely with our worldwide team to develop drivers, customize software for specific hardware components, and deliver complete, high-quality solutions.

Who you are

You are a seasoned professional with a strong technical background and a proven track record of delivering complex products on schedule. You communicate effectively and thrive in a diverse, team-focused environment. Your qualifications include:

• A BS or MS degree in Computer Science, supported by at least 12 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Extensive hands-on experience with wireless products, specifically including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth protocols.
• A deep understanding of 802.11 protocols and multi-threaded embedded system concepts like FreeRTOS, ThreadX, or Zephyr.
• Expertise in C programming, with additional knowledge of Python being a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with networking stacks such as TCP/IP, as well as standard development tools like Git and Jira.
• Fluency in English.
