Hivemapper is building a decentralized global map network powered by tens of thousands of contributors. We utilize high-resolution sensors, including stereo depth and GNSS, to feed machine learning models at the edge, providing critical map data to industries ranging from autonomous vehicles to real estate.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded applications, sensor fusion pipelines, and computer vision systems for our devices.
- Architect and refine high-performance userspace software capable of processing rich, high-frequency data in real time.
- Collaborate with our hardware and manufacturing teams to own technical strategy and manage execution.
- Monitor performance and iterate rapidly across our global fleet of tens of thousands of devices using a data-driven approach.
- Write high-quality, efficient code that leverages available hardware acceleration.
Must-haves
- Deep expertise with embedded sensor platforms, such as RGB, stereo depth, GNSS, IMUs, and wireless connectivity.
- Proven experience in Linux OS development for embedded environments.
- Strong proficiency in C or C++.
- Experience with at least one of the following: Python, TypeScript, Node.js, or Go.
Nice-to-haves
- Background in ADAS, autonomous vehicles, or mapping technologies.
- Working knowledge of electrical or mechanical engineering principles.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenVINO, or ONNX.
