What is this role?
We are searching for a Principal Communication Systems Engineer I to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United Kingdom. This is a senior-level position designed for someone with extensive experience in space communications who is eager to lead technical programs. You will serve as a primary technical point of contact, driving the architecture and design of our cutting-edge phased array antennas and radios for various aerospace platforms.
What will you do?
- Lead the development of space architecture concepts, including payload and sub-system design, requirements analysis, and risk assessment.
- Evaluate operational needs to define technical requirements, ensuring compatibility across all functional and physical interfaces.
- Conduct trade studies and lead technical concept development to optimize system architecture and support successful program proposals.

- A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 9 years of experience specifically within the space communications sector.
- A robust understanding of communication theory, RF concepts, and modern vector processing engines.
- Proficiency in satellite-communications standards such as NR NTN, DVB-S2x, and CCSDS.
- Practical experience with programming and scripting languages, specifically C++ and Python.
- The ability to manage large, open-ended projects, define work direction, and communicate complex technical ideas clearly to internal stakeholders.
