Principal Cloud Network Architect at Nomiso

We are looking for a Principal Cloud Network Architect to join our team in Bangalore. As a product and services engineering company, Nomiso focuses on solving complex business problems through expert technology and delivery management, and we are seeking a leader who is passionate about innovation and building robust, enterprise-wide cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and manage large-scale AWS and on-premises network infrastructures, including routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Act as a primary technical authority for engineering teams, driving critical incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for network and perimeter security, covering WAF, proxies, SDN, DNS, and DDoS mitigation.
• Implement Network as Code practices using automation tools like Python, Terraform, and Ansible to ensure scalable and repeatable deployments.
• Collaborate with operations, cybersecurity, and software engineering teams to define hybrid cloud solutions that meet regulatory and security standards.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage capacity planning, disaster recovery strategies, and chaos engineering testing to ensure high service reliability.

Must-haves

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 14 years of experience in network operational support, with a minimum of 7 years in large enterprise or carrier environments.
• Extensive experience with Layer 2/3 switching and advanced routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS.
• Deep expertise in AWS networking, including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, and Cloud WAN.
• Proven ability to manage multi-account structures, including AWS Control Tower and Landing Zone environments.
• Strong background in network security technologies, such as firewalls, SIEM, and VLAN segregation.
• Proficiency in DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux environments.
• Professional networking certifications in routing, switching, or security.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience with specific hardware and software vendors such as Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, F5, and NGINX.
• Experience with forensic data capture and visibility tools like NetBrain.
• Familiarity with modern infrastructure concepts like SD-WAN, VXLAN, and Network Function Virtualization.
