About the Role

We are currently seeking a Principal Backend Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this leadership role, you will be instrumental in helping us innovate and scale our systems. You will work within an environment that values speed and autonomy, ensuring that our platform remains resilient and performant as we continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Take charge of the technical development for a specific business domain, covering everything from initial requirements and architectural design to the full software development life cycle.
• Lead a compact, cross-functional team, fostering a culture of mentorship and helping your colleagues grow by identifying and leveraging their unique strengths.
• Apply a holistic approach to problem-solving by deeply understanding our business goals, service architecture, and infrastructure to build solutions that prioritize performance, scale, and resilience.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading the development and release of complex, high-demand products that face end-users.
• A strong background in coaching and mentoring software engineers to deliver high-quality, reliable software.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining services within a microservice architecture.
• Advanced proficiency in at least two programming languages, with a preference for those familiar with our stack, such as Java with Spring or Go.
• Deep technical knowledge of RDBMS, messaging brokers, and in-memory data storage solutions.

Location

This position is based on-site in Bulgaria.
