Role at a glance
We are looking for a Principal Autonomous Flight Software Engineer to join us on a full-time, hybrid basis. This is a lead-level position based in the United States. Please note that United States citizenship is mandatory for this role.
Your impact
- Develop and implement safety-critical algorithms for visual guidance, navigation, and aircraft control using machine learning.
- Write robust code to replace human pilots, ensuring your work adheres to both the laws of nature and strict civil aviation regulations.
- Contribute to high-stakes projects across commercial and defense sectors while maintaining compliance with government standards.
What you'll need
We are looking for a high-performer who can tackle difficult technical problems. You should have the following qualifications:
- A PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, or Machine Learning.
- Over 5 years of professional experience in high-level C++ software engineering.
- A deep theoretical and practical grasp of how to implement machine learning applications.
- Business fluency in English.
While aerospace or avionics experience is a bonus, it is not required. We will provide all the necessary training on the constraints of safety-critical systems in airworthy applications.
