Key outcomes
- Act as a first responder by monitoring system performance and health using tools like Datadog.
- Identify and triage performance anomalies, outages, or unusual system behaviors.
- Execute predefined runbooks, SOPs, and MOPs to mitigate incidents and restore service availability.
- Collaborate with SREs and Platform Engineers to escalate complex issues that fall outside of standard triage procedures.
- Maintain and update operational documentation to ensure runbooks remain accurate and effective.
- Participate in post-incident reviews to contribute to long-term operational readiness and process improvements.
- Assist in the automation of routine tasks to reduce manual effort and improve overall efficiency.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in technical operations, system administration, or entry-level cloud engineering.
- Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes and an understanding of core networking, storage, and computing concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to follow established incident management processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a distributed, global team.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Proficiency in scripting or automation languages like Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices.
