Platform Infrastructure Engineer at Tanda

We are a global leader in workforce management, supporting major clients like Starbucks and Domino’s from our Brisbane headquarters, and we are looking for passionate engineers to help us scale our impact as we continue to launch new products.

The role

We are seeking an ambitious Platform Infrastructure Engineer at the mid-level to join our growing team. This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Brisbane office. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and work closely with our product team to solve complex infrastructure challenges, manage large-scale production workloads, and improve the developer experience for our global team of over 30 engineers.

Core responsibilities

• Lead the migration of our production workloads to containers while standardizing our approach to Infrastructure as Code.
• Enhance our system observability by implementing monitoring tools for SLOs and transforming how we handle incident response across our multiple products.
• Focus on performance tuning and tooling to ensure our platform remains highly responsive as we process hundreds of thousands of background jobs every day.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong background in building and maintaining robust systems. We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

• At least 3 years of professional experience in Platform Engineering or SRE roles.
• Proven ability to manage and scale large, containerized production deployments.
• Hands-on experience with the HashiCorp stack, Docker, CloudFormation, and core AWS services.
• A strong preference for experience with Ruby on Rails or similar MVC frameworks, as well as performance tuning for large-scale PostgreSQL databases.
