What is this role?
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis in Germany. In this position, you will be a key member of our Cloud Platform Engineering team, where you will focus on the creation, stabilization, and optimization of our on-premise and cloud infrastructure. You will report directly to the Cloud Platform Engineering Manager and play an active role in shaping our cloud-first strategy and technical decision-making processes.
What will you do?
- Evaluate our cloud strategy and program architecture while collaborating with application owners to gather system requirements.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible to automate resource provisioning.
- Manage our cloud organizations with a focus on FinOps, selecting appropriate cloud-native services and establishing internal standards for their use.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should have at least three years of experience working with high-availability systems and cloud organizations, specifically within AWS or GCP. You are comfortable with configuration management tools and version control systems like GitHub. We are looking for someone with a strong grasp of Linux, networking concepts, and programming proficiency in languages such as Python, Golang, or JavaScript. You should also have a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and security best practices. Excellent communication skills in English are essential for this role. Please note that you must have a valid work permit for Germany, as we are unable to provide visa or relocation sponsorship.
