Our cross-functional Engineering teams develop scalable and secure microservices and APIs for the different domains of our product. As Platform Engineer you are not only individual contributor but support your team with a strong customer-centric mindset and a drive to take on ownership over product capabilities or technical components. Two week sprints based on Scrum help our teams to self-organise their tasks and continuously improve the way they work to deliver value through our products for our customers.

WHAT IS WAITING FOR YOU?
- You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Azure on a global scale
- Guide engineering teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies
- Your focus will be on extending and utilizing your deep technical understanding of the hyperscalers' technology
- Continuous improvement of our architecture, CI/CD pipelines and codebase
- Implementation of scalable & secure backend services in Java & Kotlin
- You will be part of our larger development organization and contribute to cross-team knowledge building & sharing - with explicit options to share your knowledge across our entire company and beyond, e.g. on conferences

WHAT IS OUR STACK?
- Azure, Kubernetes, and Istio
- Modern CI/CD and infrastructure toolchain: GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible, Testcontainers
- Monitoring & Alerting, e.g., Instana, Grafana, Fluent Bit, PagerDuty
- Java & Kotlin using microservice frameworks such as Dropwizard, Quarkus and Spring Boot
- PostgreSQL, Event Streaming, Elasticsearch, Kafka
- API Technologies such as REST and GraphQL

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for someone who likes to:
- Solve problems and deliver customer value
- Ship code daily
- Take ownership and drive topics
- Deep experience with at least one public cloud provider (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cloud automation (e.g. Terraform)
- Build state-of-the-art & high quality user interfaces
- Work in a product and customer focussed team
Additionally :
- 3 to 5 years working experience
- Working proficiency with modern tools and practises
- Working experience with Java
- Open communication style
