What you bring
As our Associate Director of Platform Engineering, you will lead a dedicated team of five engineers in a full-time, remote capacity. We are looking for someone located in CA, CO, DC, FL, IL, MD, NJ, MA, NY, PA, SC, TX, or VA to drive our technical strategy and ensure our platforms remain resilient and innovative. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical leadership and mentorship to our platform engineering team while setting clear, actionable goals.
- Developing and executing a strategic roadmap that emphasizes automation and the use of Infrastructure as Code.
- Collaborating across departments to align our platform initiatives with broader business objectives and product strategies.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in software engineering, specifically within platform development and architecture. You must have at least three years of experience in a leadership role, demonstrating your ability to guide teams toward success. We value candidates who possess a deep understanding of cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or GCP, alongside a strong grasp of DevOps, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices. You should be a clear communicator capable of explaining complex technical systems to diverse stakeholders, and you must have a proven track record in building highly available, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
What we offer
