We are currently looking for a Pipeline Technical Director to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity. Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with production teams to provide technical support and design innovative tools that solve complex challenges for our animated feature films.
- Report to the Production Technology Supervisor regarding project status, tool performance, and ongoing operational support needs.
- Develop, maintain, and refine production tools while partnering with artists and engineers to ensure high-quality results through iterative testing and debugging.
Requirements
We are looking for a senior-level professional with a strong technical background and a passion for animation production. You should possess the following qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, with expert-level proficiency in Python.
- Proven experience programming for industry-standard software such as Maya, Houdini, and Nuke.
- Technical proficiency in Linux, Windows, and macOS environments, alongside experience with Git version control.
- A solid understanding of production pipelines, agile development methodologies, and user interface design using PySide2.
- Familiarity with non-linear editing suites and media encoding tools like ffmpeg.
What we offer
The base salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $118,000 – $150,000. Please note that the final offer may vary based on your specific location, expertise, and professional background. This range covers base pay only and does not include the full scope of our comprehensive compensation package.
