Role at a glance
We are looking for a Performance Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a mid-level role based on-site in Colombia. You will work directly with our software engineering teams to ensure our platform meets rigorous performance benchmarks, utilizing your technical expertise to guide development and optimize our infrastructure.
Your impact
- Design and execute comprehensive performance tests to ensure our platform handles thousands of concurrent requests across our microservices architecture.
- Profile applications to identify bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations to improve system design and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain our internal performance framework, including automation scripts and infrastructure reporting.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you should be a collaborative, customer-focused professional with a strong QA mindset and the following technical qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, Golang, or JavaScript.
- At least 2 years of experience working with cloud and container technologies like GCP, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, Circle CI, or Travis.
- Proficiency with load injection tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or SiteSpeed.
- Experience with APM and monitoring tools like Datadog or New Relic.
- Basic knowledge of database systems including Postgres, MySQL, Mongo, or Elasticsearch.
- A high level of proficiency in English.
