About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Perception Research Engineer to join our Robot Perception team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be a hands-on contributor to the development and deployment of industrial-strength, robot-based automation. You will work with 3D vision systems for navigation and visual validation within our Bright Robotic Cells, helping us refine the platform that powers the next generation of manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve the Bright Machines Perception platform and its associated applications.
- Design and implement highly automated verification and validation pipelines to ensure our features meet the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with service engineering teams and external stakeholders to deploy advanced vision-based solutions and influence our future product roadmap.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science, with a PhD preferred.
- One to three years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python and C++.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks, specifically PyTorch.
- Expertise in machine vision and sensor calibration.

This position is based in the United States and requires an on-site presence.
