What you bring
As a People Lead & Senior Software Engineer, you will balance hands-on development with the responsibility of mentoring and coaching a team of up to four engineers. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Germany where you will apply your senior-level experience to drive both project success and team growth. Your core responsibilities include:
- Providing disciplinary leadership, including regular coaching and career development support for your team members.
- Building and operating high-quality software within a multidisciplinary team, following the principle of you build it, you run it.
- Collaborating with product teams to define project milestones and ensuring all software meets rigorous security and data protection standards.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who is as comfortable with people management as they are with complex codebases. You should have extensive experience in software engineering and a proven track record in leadership roles. You are expected to be proficient in Java and Spring, as well as TypeScript or JavaScript combined with React or Vue. A strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code is essential for this position. We value candidates who are self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of fostering constructive feedback within agile teams. You must be comfortable communicating in both German and English at a B2 level or higher.
