Payroll Administrator at Sonic Internet + Phone

We are looking for a dedicated and self-motivated Payroll Administrator to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will take full ownership of our end-to-end payroll solutions, ensuring that every detail is handled with integrity and precision. We operate in a fast-paced environment where your ability to manage complex processes, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively across all levels of our organization will be vital to our success.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee all payroll operations, including the management of employee compensation, bonuses, benefits, and wage garnishments.
• Develop and maintain effective payroll policies, internal controls, and procedures while ensuring full compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Perform month-end account reconciliations, audit 401(k) funding, and generate detailed reports regarding overtime, PTO, and department expenses.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this position, you should have a strong background in payroll management and a commitment to accuracy. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience managing payroll for companies with 800 or more employees.
• Proficiency with enterprise HRIS and payroll systems, specifically UKG Pro or Kronos.
• A high level of comfort with Microsoft Excel and month-end closing processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with Spanish fluency being a significant plus.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is highly valued.
• The ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, with the flexibility to be in the office 3 to 4 days per week, especially during payroll processing cycles.
