Decentraland is a community-driven virtual world built on the Unity engine, offering a vast and continuous environment for users to explore, create, and connect. What began as a proof-of-concept for blockchain-based digital real estate has evolved into a thriving landscape where creators build everything from games and puzzles to interactive artworks. Beyond traditional gaming, our platform serves as a hub for live music events, conferences, and exhibitions. As a steward of this ecosystem, the Decentraland Foundation focuses on long-term growth, platform security, and supporting the vibrant community of creators who make our world possible. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Partnerships Manager to join our remote team and help us expand our influence through strategic collaborations.
Key outcomes
- Identify and engage potential partners, brands, and cultural institutions that align with our vision for immersive virtual experiences.
- Manage the complete partnership lifecycle, including initial research, cold outreach, contract negotiation, onboarding, and final project wrap-ups.
- Collaborate with our internal marketing, legal, technical, and creative teams to ensure the seamless execution of high-impact activations.
- Maintain a comprehensive CRM to track partner contacts, project statuses, and deliverables while ensuring effective knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Develop insightful reports and case studies in partnership with our data and marketing teams to demonstrate the strategic value and impact of our collaborations.
- Provide ongoing support to partners by guiding them through the activation process and hosting regular check-ins to maintain project momentum.
Requirements
- Between 2 and 5 years of professional experience in business development, partnerships, or B2B client-facing roles within agencies, tech, or entertainment sectors.
- A proven history of securing brand sponsorships or partnerships, particularly within the music, events, or technology industries.
- Demonstrable expertise in managing complex pipelines and nurturing relationships from the first point of contact through to deal execution.
- A solid understanding of the web3 ecosystem and the operational mechanics of decentralized platforms.
- High proficiency in project management tools, specifically Notion, Google Workspace, and Figma.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience working directly with metaverse or gaming platforms.
- An established professional network of contacts within the web3 space or cultural brand sectors.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Current residence in the LATAM or European time zones.
