Doordash is looking for a Outside Strategic Account Executive

Since our founding in 2013, the Outside Sales team has served as the primary face of DoorDash for our merchant partners. We are a technology and logistics company dedicated to empowering local economies, and we are currently evolving from a food delivery service into a platform for all local goods. Our Outside Sales team acts as the revenue-driving engine of our organization, fostering deep partnerships with the most sought-after local and regional restaurants. We are looking for an Outside Strategic Account Executive to join our team and help us expand our merchant selection, which is critical to driving customer growth, retention, and conversion across our platform.

Key outcomes

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Local Hero and Local Premium merchants within your assigned region.
  • Execute a transactional sales cycle by prospecting, meeting with, and closing deals with restaurant owners.
  • Articulate the value of our full service suite, including Marketplace, Storefront, and DashPass, to potential partners.
  • Lead complex negotiations to establish mutually beneficial economic terms.
  • Utilize creative sales strategies to engage prospects and secure new business.
  • Provide actionable, on-the-ground insights to our sales leadership and operations teams to help refine our approach.
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the team.
  • Travel to different markets to meet with restaurant owners, as this role requires up to 50% travel.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a closing sales role or a similar professional capacity.
  • Proven success in managing a transactional deal cycle and consistently exceeding performance goals.
  • Experience selling multi-product solutions to diverse clients.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, such as Salesforce, and Google Apps.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a fundamental, analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with regular travel to meet clients.
