We are looking for a Senior Oracle Licensing Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this remote role, you will provide expert guidance to GOS regarding the management of our Oracle software assets, focusing on compliance, cost optimization, and our ongoing transition to cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage Oracle licensing compliance to minimize financial risk and provide support during audits.
- Conduct regular health checks and annual audits to evaluate our current entitlements.
- Develop cost-effective licensing strategies and advise on de-support options, including the use of third-party support services.
- Support our modernization projects as we move legacy systems into the Oracle Cloud.
- Serve as our primary liaison for discussions with Oracle and other service providers.
- Gather business and technical requirements while mapping processes for system upgrades.
- Collaborate with our legal and procurement departments to conduct thorough contract reviews.
- Educate internal stakeholders on licensing best practices and support organizational change management.
Must-haves
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Oracle licensing advisory and compliance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Oracle licensing policies for both on-premises and cloud-based platforms.
- Proven ability to handle contract reviews and lead negotiations.
- Strong background in business analysis, documentation, and requirements management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Experience supporting change management initiatives within large organizations.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Rimini Street or similar third-party Oracle support models.
