The role

We are hiring for a full-time Optical Assistant position based on-site at our Bristol location. This is a junior-level role, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a career in healthcare and optics. You will be a key part of our store team, ensuring that every patient receives a welcoming and efficient experience from the moment they walk through our doors.

Core responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting patients warmly and managing their initial needs.
• Perform essential pre-screening eye health checks and facilitate a seamless transition for patients moving to see the optometrist.
• Handle technical tasks including dispensing glasses, fitting and repairing spectacles, and conducting contact lens training sessions.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Previous optical experience is required for this position.
• Strong administration skills to manage daily store operations effectively.
• A commitment to healthcare excellence and a natural ability to connect with people.
• Fluency in English to ensure clear communication with our patients and team members.
