Role at a glance

This is a full-time, junior-level position designed for someone eager to learn the ropes of a modern newsroom. While the role is remote, you must be available to work during U.K. hours. You will report directly to our Assistant Editor and play a vital role in supporting our editorial operations across multiple coverage areas.

Your impact

• Provide essential administrative, research, and logistical support to our editorial team to ensure our coverage runs smoothly.
• Collaborate with our editors to produce and publish newsletters while creating engaging data visualizations to enhance our stories.
• Assist in writing our unique Signals breaking news pieces for a sophisticated, globally-minded audience.

What you'll need

We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for world events and a broad curiosity about the issues shaping our future. You should be comfortable jumping into a variety of tasks, whether that means deep research or managing administrative workflows. While formal journalism qualifications are not required, you should possess:

• Strong research and journalism skills, ideally demonstrated through previous fellowships or internships.
• A proactive mindset and the flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, growing newsroom.
• Fluency in English and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative setting.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Perks and compensation
