We are currently expanding our IT department and are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join us on a full-time, on-site basis in Canada. Responsibilities
- Maintain 24/7 availability for our global production network environments.
- Handle the configuration, installation, and ongoing maintenance of essential network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN appliances.
- Conduct daily system monitoring and health checks while proactively evaluating new hardware and software solutions to optimize overall network performance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a deep understanding of networking systems and enterprise datacenter environments. We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Advanced knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, SSL, and DNS, alongside experience with routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
- Hands-on experience managing LAN/WAN infrastructure and configuring firewalls and switches from vendors like Palo Alto, Cisco, and Dell.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to produce detailed documentation, and a willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English, as you will be collaborating daily with our international team.
While not required, we consider it a significant asset if you have experience with VMware, cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, Linux environments, DAS/SAN technologies, and monitoring tools such as Solarwinds or Zabbix.
