About the Role
We are seeking a Network Administrator to join us in a full-time capacity. In this mid-level role, you will report to the Manager of IT Operations and serve as a vital part of our IT organization. You will be responsible for the ongoing expansion, maintenance, and support of our network infrastructure, which includes our routers, firewalls, servers, storage, and various applications. This position is essential for driving our future-state strategies and ensuring the high reliability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available workloads across our hybrid environments, including AWS, Azure, and on-premises infrastructure.
- Manage the day-to-day configuration and reliability of our network, including subnets, VLANs, firewalls, routing tables, and network security groups.
- Proactively monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues or outages to minimize downtime, while participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Three to five years of experience in network, systems, or cloud administration within a hybrid infrastructure.
- At least three years of hands-on experience with Cisco network administration, specifically involving ASA, site-to-site VPN, and Catalyst switches.
- In-depth technical knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Proficiency in using monitoring tools such as Zabbix, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Splunk.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, though equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are preferred.
- The ability to lift or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Location
This position is based in San Francisco, California. Please note that this is an on-site role, and you will be expected to report to our office at least four days per week.
