The role
We are seeking a Senior Network Administrator to join us in a full-time, on-site capacity. This is a vital position for someone with a broad and deep technical skillset who is ready to support and strengthen our infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability and security of our technology services, software, and equipment as we work to meet the strategic goals of our agency.
Core responsibilities
- Manage our network and infrastructure, including site-to-site connectivity, firewalls, switches, and the full lifecycle of our networking equipment.
- Oversee the installation, deployment, and maintenance of our server environment, while proactively developing cybersecurity solutions to protect our data.
- Provide high-level technical support, including serving as a point of escalation for complex helpdesk tickets and assisting with IT budget preparation and equipment purchasing.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- At least five years of experience in system or network administration within a distributed network environment.
- Strong technical proficiency with Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Nutanix AOS/AHV.
- Expertise in networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, IP sub-netting, and VLANs.
- Experience managing LAN/WAN hardware such as firewalls and switches.
- A commitment to our mission, including increasing access to abortion and decreasing abortion stigma.
- The ability to travel throughout our service area and work flexible hours, including on-call rotations for urgent, mission-critical issues.
- Strong communication skills and a dedication to providing excellent customer service.
