You will join a New York State Government agency in Albany as a senior .NET developer on a long-term contract that can extend up to 30 months. The agency maintains critical public systems and is seeking an experienced professional who can strengthen and extend those applications over an extended engagement.
What you'll be doing
- Build and maintain .NET applications using C#, MVC, Bootstrap, and .NET Core while integrating with Oracle databases.
- Design and implement web services or WCF components to support secure data exchange in JSON format.
- Write and optimize stored procedures, functions, and packages in T-SQL to ensure reliable data operations.
What you'll bring
- A bachelor's degree in a technology-related field.
- At least five years of hands-on .NET development experience.
- Proficiency with T-SQL and SQL Server for database development and performance tuning.
- Practical experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with Team Foundation Server for source control and team collaboration.
- Strong command of English for technical documentation and team communication.
