The role
We are looking for a Senior MSP System Administrator to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity within the United States. This position is designed for an experienced professional who is comfortable managing Windows server-based operating systems, from version 2008 and beyond. You will play a vital role in provisioning and maintaining the networked systems that our clients rely on every single day.
Core responsibilities
- Provide remote support for multiple Active Directory domains while managing and resolving incoming trouble tickets.
- Standardize user privileges and system configurations by leveraging Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy Management, and DNS Administration.
- Execute system resource management and capacity planning using SolarWinds and other specialized monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should be highly proficient in Windows Server environments and possess a strong technical background in the following areas:
- Extensive experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
- Proven ability to perform Tier 2 and Tier 3 administrative support for client workstations.
- Experience implementing security updates, patches, and antivirus signatures using tools like WSUS and SolarWinds.
- A deep understanding of configuration management, including directory services, authentication, and file application services.
- Strong communication skills in English, as you will be responsible for documenting trouble calls and analyzing complex system issues.
- Capability to plan and execute the installation and testing of new network services while establishing necessary security precautions and rollback procedures.
