The role

We are looking for a Junior Mobile Software Engineer to join our remote northeast digital team. This is a full-time position based in the Northeast United States, ranging from Washington DC to Portland, Maine, including the Greater NYC area. You will report directly to our Technical Lead for the App. This role is perfect for a curious, collaborative engineer who is focused on delivering a high-quality user experience within a small, growing team.

Core responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the health screening experience for our members within our React Native mobile application.
• Expand the app's integrations with our health screening models, APIs, and CMS platforms.
• Enhance our design system and overall member experience to ensure maximum user delight.

Skills and experience

• At least one year of professional experience building mobile applications using cross-platform frameworks like React Native, or experience building in React with exposure to native languages such as C++, Java, Swift, or Kotlin.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, mobile navigation, and managed build workflows using Expo.
• Proficiency in optimizing network requests via RESTful APIs.
• A strong interest in building accessible applications and a keen eye for beautiful design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a desire to learn from and teach your teammates.
