OVERVIEW:

Are you our next Mobile Engineering Manager?

We’re looking for someone to join Gymshark's Tech team as Mobile Engineering Manager.

Gymshark is an agile business with a fast paced environment, where you'll be part of contributing to our huge peak sale periods, key brand moments & our journey to build out our Retail presence & Omnichannel strategy. You'll need to be comfortable balancing technical quality & excellence and ensuring we deliver on key business moments & events. You'll have the chance to shape how we build & deliver our mobile apps, delivering on key engineering initiatives & find and implement opportunities to improve our day-to-day practises.

As a Mobile Engineering Manager at Gymshark you'll be leading high-performing iOS and Android engineering teams utilising Swift and Kotlin to build and maintain our Gymshark App to allow customers to browse & purchase Gymshark products. Our Gymshark app is also a core part of our Membership & Loyalty programme and will be a key driver for how our customers get involved with the brand & be an active part of the Gymshark community.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• You will line manage and guide a multi-skilled mobile apps engineering team who deliver across 3 cross-functional squads, ensuring they have the necessary resources and skills to deliver new functionality.
• Your responsibilities include mentoring and coaching your team members, recruiting diverse and talented individuals, and promoting a culture of collaboration, learning, and respect.
• You will work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define the vision and technical direction of the products, as well as ensuring we deliver on multiple roadmap initiatives.
• You will take ownership of how your products are designed & built, as well as how new work is delivered through our SDLC, in addition to the operational management the apps.
• You will be responsible for monitoring & reporting on technical KPIs that demonstrate the quality & technical state of our apps.
• You will ensure the team has the necessarily expertise, documentation & processes to manage & resolve incidents, both BAU & during peak sale periods.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

• Experience as a Mobile Engineer, specialising in either Java, Kotlin or Swift
• Experience managing, leading and mentoring a team of Engineers
• Experience working within an agile & fast paced environment
• An understanding of how to measure engineering performance for mobile applications
• Experience with shipping mobile apps through the SDLC, with an appreciation of the CI & app release process

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
