The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join our elite, small team of product-minded builders. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of interactive education. While your primary focus will be on our Android platform using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, you will have the opportunity to work across our stack, including iOS and web, whenever it serves the best outcome for our learners. You will work closely with design, data, and product teams to bring features from initial concept to final polish, ensuring that our tools remain intuitive and effective for everyone.

A day in the life

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to shepherd new features from early design stages through to successful launch, ensuring a seamless experience on mobile devices.
• Balance technical excellence with business goals by writing clean, maintainable code that prioritizes the user experience while keeping our development velocity high.
• Actively mentor teammates and advocate for improvements to our engineering processes, always asking how our technical decisions directly impact the students using our platform.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer with at least 5 years of professional experience who is motivated by solving real-world problems for users. You value simplicity in your code, preferring solutions that are easy to understand and build upon rather than overly complex or clever workarounds. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment where pair programming and knowledge sharing are the norms. You have deep expertise in your preferred languages and frameworks, yet you remain curious about new technologies and are eager to explore how AI can enhance your productivity. You communicate clearly in English and are excited to contribute to a culture of mutual accountability and high standards.
