About the Role
We are looking for an MLOps Tech Lead to join our team in a full-time capacity. This is a player-coach role where you will build our MLOps function from the ground up. You will be responsible for the architecture, design, and development of our ML and AI agent platforms, providing technical leadership while remaining deeply involved in hands-on execution to ensure our infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the MLOps engineering team, providing technical direction and supporting the professional growth of your colleagues.
- Architect and implement a scalable deployment platform for our machine learning and AI agent systems.
- Collaborate with data science, product, and engineering teams to align our technical roadmap with strategic business goals while championing data governance and security standards.
Requirements
To be a strong fit for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience across MLOps, DevOps, or software engineering.
- Proven success in a leadership role, including mentoring engineers and setting technical strategy.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and ML serving frameworks like MLFlow, TensorFlow Serving, or TorchServe.
- Familiarity with ML pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow or Kubeflow.
Location
This is a remote position. You may work from anywhere in the United States, provided you reside in one of our approved states for employment.
Compensation and Benefits
We are committed to pay transparency and offer a competitive base salary range of $244,000 - 280,000 USD, in addition to stock options. Our benefits package includes:
