About the Role

We are seeking a Senior ML Engineer for a full-time position. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our technical strategy, designing and deploying sophisticated machine learning models that improve our credit decisioning and fraud detection capabilities. You will work within a high-growth environment, taking ownership of projects from the initial concept phase all the way through to production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy advanced machine learning models that adapt to new data to enhance our core lending and risk assessment processes.
• Lead complex ML initiatives by defining project scopes, managing resources, and ensuring that our solutions remain scalable and reliable.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and engineers to translate business requirements into effective, data-driven technical strategies.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience in machine learning engineering, data science, or software engineering, specifically with a track record of maintaining production-grade ML systems.
• A strong foundation in machine learning fundamentals with specialized expertise in areas such as causal modeling, deep learning, NLP, or time series analysis.
• Proficiency with our core technology stack, including Python, JavaScript, AWS, Databricks, Spark, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Flask, and React.
• Excellent communication skills and a growth mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Prior experience in lending, credit risk, or fraud detection, as well as familiarity with AWS and Databricks Unity Catalog, is highly preferred.

Location

This position is remote and open to candidates located anywhere, though our team operates on East and West Coast time zones. Please note that this role requires periodic travel to the Bay Area, CA, for regular onsite collaboration sessions.
