ML Engineer at Prime

What is this role?

We are looking for a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the Bay Area. This is a senior-level position for someone with extensive experience who is ready to take ownership of complex projects and drive our technical strategy forward. You will be working in a dynamic environment where you can make a tangible impact on the future of our lending infrastructure.

What will you do?

• Design, build, and deploy sophisticated machine learning models to improve our credit decisioning and fraud detection systems.
• Collaborate across teams with product managers and engineers to translate business needs into effective ML-driven strategies.
• Take full ownership of machine learning projects, guiding them from the initial concept phase through to production and continuous improvement.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 8 years of professional experience in machine learning, data science, or software engineering. We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of managing production systems and a solid grasp of machine learning fundamentals, such as causal modeling, NLP, or deep learning. You should be proficient in Python and comfortable working within the AWS ecosystem using Terraform and PostgreSQL. Because we value a growth mindset and a bias toward action, we are looking for a strong communicator who thrives in high-growth settings. Experience in lending environments or with Databricks is considered a plus.
