Metadata Curation Specialist at GOAT Group

The role

We are seeking a Metadata Curation Specialist to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a mid-level position designed for someone who is passionate about fashion and data integrity. You will play a vital role in maintaining the health of our Fashion catalog, working closely with our managers to ensure our product information meets the high standards our global community expects.

Core responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Metadata Curation Manager to identify and execute on priority focus areas for categorizing and backfilling data within our growing Fashion catalog.
• Manage both proactive product creation and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure we consistently meet our service level agreements.
• Debug metadata issues, provide feedback to external agents, and partner with our Buying and Research teams to uphold strict catalog guardrails and standards.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience in an e-commerce or marketplace setting.
• Extensive knowledge of fashion brands, streetwear, vintage items, and current industry trends, paired with strong research capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, with a desire to learn or improve your ability to write simple SQL requests for data identification and reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• A high level of accountability and the ability to prioritize tasks autonomously while working under strict timelines.
• Technical curiosity and a drive to master new internal tools and software applications.

Compensation and benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $59,000 to $73,000 USD. In addition to base pay, we provide a comprehensive benefits package to support your well-being and future, including:
