Messaging and Risk Software Developer at Tanius Technology

We are looking for a talented developer to join our team and help build the high frequency messaging backend that powers our risk management systems. About the Role

This is a full-time position for a Messaging and Risk Software Developer. In this role, you will own parts of the stack ranging from the backend architecture to the C++ GUI front end. You will tackle the challenge of managing thousands of client connections, each processing thousands of messages per second, while building out our core systems for message routing, discovery, and data replay.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust message routing and discovery systems to handle high-volume data streams.
• Develop and optimize the full stack, including backend infrastructure and C++ GUI components.
• Collaborate directly with internal teams to gather feedback and implement features that improve our risk management capabilities.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a passion for building high-performance systems. Our ideal candidate meets the following criteria:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++.
• At least five years of total programming experience, with up to five years in a professional setting.
• Comfortable working within a Linux environment.
• An interest in finance, machine learning, big data, or robotics is considered a significant plus.
• A willingness to participate in our on-the-job training program, which features projects specifically tailored to your current skill set.

Location

This role is based in the United States. Please note that while we offer flexibility for experienced hires, this junior-level position requires you to be onsite in Alamo, California.
